Pokemon Go is the most famous game in the world. It’s so popular because it’s an augmented reality game that lets you catch rare Pokemon in your neighborhood, at work, or on vacation. This game is fantastic because it may be played virtually anywhere and at any time! When playing the game, you’ll need to walk about, but don’t worry; it won’t take up too much of your time.

You can collect rare Pokemon from all over the world with just one click of a button. There are many different types of Pokemon to capture and they’re not always easy to find! But don’t worry – there are plenty of other players out there looking to catch the same Pokemon as you. You can join a team and compete against other teams to be #1 in your area!

gameplay

Gameplay

Pokémon GO is just what you would expect it to be – catching cute monsters and using them to fight for sport. Once I saw the trailer after the game came out, I was immediately hooked on playing it! Even though it’s only been out a few days, there are already a lot of places for you to explore and meet other players.

I’m not going to go into detail about capturing Pokémon because it’s similar to any other game in the series. Nothing really new added here, but there aren’t many complaints from me either since it’s what I wanted in a Pokémon game in the first place.

The main draw of this game is that it gets you outside and moving around, which is perfect for people who don’t normally go out much. It’s also a great way to meet new people! Just be careful when playing Pokemon Go at night since most of the creatures only appear during the day (with the exception of those pesky ghosts!)

“Pokemon Go” puts players into the real world through your phone’s camera so they can capture, train and battle with Pokemon as you encounter them in different places. Nintendo hopes that “Pokemon Go” remains fun for people for a long time.

You go to the park on a hot summer day. You’re looking for Pokemon and trying to upgrade them, but you can’t find any! It’s frustrating when your phone starts buzzing with news of an elite battle in progress nearby at one of these three local gyms: Instinct (yellow), Valor (red), or Mystic (blue). There are so many choices…who do I join? Will I win this time?? To be honest–fighting is kind of cathartic because it takes my mind off how sweltering hot it feels outside. Plus there’s always something new that pops up just over the horizon..an enticing lure module here, mysterious eggshell fragments there…

Rivals

Compete with rivals

Fighting is not the only way to compete with rivals to be the best team. You have to talk much about strategy among members of your team.

Team Instinct (yellow) has a high speed, so he can easily hide from enemies or find Pokemon. What’s more, this team shows great teamwork and communication because they are friendly and confident.

  • Team Instinct is based in yellow color, which represents a Pokemon bird Zapdos.
  • There are three stars at the bottom of the screen when you tap on this team’s flag–they’re not just random decoration! If you tap them, they’ll glow yellow for a moment and each time you do, they’ll light up in order to show you how many players are playing on the Instinct team.
  • This team works well together because of high speed, great teamwork, and communication. They show great confidence like Zapdos–they never give up!

Team Valor (red) got power attacks, so he can easily overcome enemies by them. What’s more, this team shows great teamwork and communication because they are brave and confident.

  • Team Valor is based in red color, which represents a Pokemon bird Moltres.
  • There are three stars at the bottom of the screen when you tap on this team’s flag– they’re not just random decoration! If you tap them, they’ll glow red for a moment and each time you do, they’ll light up in order to show you how many players are playing on the Valor team.
  • This team works well together because of high power attacks, great teamwork, and communication. They show great confidence like Moltres.

Mobilize with Pokemon GO

Explore Map

Explore Your City

With the popularity of Pokemon GO, it may be tempting to dive right in. But there are a few things you should know before you start walking around your city with your face buried in your phone.

First, make sure that the app is okay with your employer (if you’re using their Wi-Fi). Second, be aware of your surroundings. If you’re not paying attention, you could end up wandering into traffic or unsafe neighborhoods, so it’s best to go with a friend. Third, set aside time for exercise! While Pokemon GO may seem like an excuse to sit on the couch and play games all day, don’t forget that walking is much healthier for you.

In order to have a better chance of capturing Pokemon, go places where more people are likely to gather, such as parks or malls. Also, if you’re near the ocean, try walking along the shoreline. You may find water-type Pokemon there!

Game missions

Many Mission

Your journey will have many missions. For example, you need to collect all kinds of Pokemon, explore the city and fight with rivals. And you can make your team be strongest one!

You need to explore much more at night because there are more Pokemon after dark! Remember that if a wild Pokemon has appeared but you don’t catch it, it will run away. So you should know where they are and try to get them by the team!

I think everyone likes Pokemon, don’t you? We all grew up with them on TV and had our favorite starter pokemon! Many people remember the T.V show from the 90s when Ash caught Pikachu and traveled around different cities to find more Pokemon! Now, with the new game “Pokemon Go” you can explore your city on a quest to be the very best like no one ever was!

game-controller

Playability & Controls

The controls for this game aren’t too bad. To interact with objects like tall grass or Pokestops, you simply tap on them and it will show up in the bottom area of the screen. To actually catch a creature, all you have to do is hold down on it for a second until your screen shakes. It works better than I expected it to, so there are no problems there!

However, when trying to walk somewhere else after exiting the Pokestop, it would always direct me back to where I was going before. It’s a little annoying when all you want to do is go home and it won’t let you! Also, when in battle with another person, the controls seem to just stop working at times? [I tried different devices, so it’s not just my device.]

Controls aren’t entirely bad, but they can be frustrating at times.

sound and graphics

Graphics & Sounds

The art style of Pokemon Go is simple and cute. The majority of the creatures are in their natural environment (i.e. forests, caves, fields) instead of sterile environments like in most other games in the series. There’s also a nice variety of different regions to encounter which is always welcome! The app runs incredibly smoothly on my iPhone 6s even when I have full-screen mode turned on. The sounds in-game are mostly non-existent, but the background music is reminiscent of the main games, which was also really nice to hear.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Pokemon Go is a great game to play if you want to explore your city and meet new people. If you’re too lazy to walk around, don’t bother playing it because that’s what you’ll end up doing whether you like it or not. Also, there are a few minor problems that I’ve mentioned throughout this review, but those shouldn’t turn you away from trying out the game!

I hope you guys found this review helpful and let me know if you have any other questions about the app. Thanks for reading and I’ll see you next time!

FAQs

FAQs

Q. What are all the different types of Pokemon in this game?

There are lots. The main versions (Normal, Fire, Water, etc.) as well as the third versions (Crystal, etc.). There are also different generations of Pokemon which makes them harder to find in-game or more powerful. For example, Gengar is quite difficult to find in R/B but it’s generally worth catching if you can find it.

Q. What are the best locations to find different types of Pokemon?

Water Pokemon are best found around Cinnebar and the Seafoam Islands. Normal types can be found in just about any grassy area as well as caves such as Rock Tunnel. Fire Pokemon are best obtained from the Safari Zone or Victory Road. Fighting types can be caught in most caves, power plants, and also near Saffron City. Ghost Pokemon can be found in Lavender Tower, Seafoam Islands, and near Celadon City. They also have a good chance of being found by the power plant. Electric types are best obtained from Cerulean Cave while rock types are plentiful in Mt. Moon and Victory Road. Finally, Psychic Pokemon can be caught on Route 24, 25, and also on the route to the elite 4.

Q. How do I evolve my Pokemon?

Certain Pokemon can only be evolved through trading or certain stones. For example, Kadabra requires a Moon Stone to evolve into Alakazam while Graveler needs to trade with another player to evolve into Golem. The most basic latest Pokemon can evolve at level 36. For example, this is the case with Charmander into Charmeleon and Squirtle into Wartortle.

Q. What are HMs?

HMs are basically moves that take up a move slot but also allow you to solve puzzles in the game by using them on your Pokemon for them to use in the field. Examples are Strength which allows you to move large boulders around and Surf which allows you to traverse water. You need a Pokemon that knows an HM if you want to use it and once they do, they will never forget it (unless specified).

Q. How can I level up quickly in this game?

There are three ways of doing this. The first is training at the dojo in Saffron City. This is free EXP and you can train as many times as you want but it’s also quite limited. Second, if your Pokemon are low level, you can fight the Elite 4 over and over again to gain lots of EXP or fight areas such as the Seafoam Islands, Victory Road, and even Cerulean Cave. Finally, you can do what’s called grinding either by fighting wild Pokemon over and over again (not recommended) or fighting trainers in a strategic manner (recommended).

Q. How can I beat this Gym Leader?

You need to be strategic in any fighting game but especially this one due to the limited number of moves each Pokemon has. First, look at the types of Pokemon you are against. For example, if you’re against a Charizard then it’s weak to rock and flying moves which you can find on either Articuno or Zapdos who are both fast and strong legendary birds. You will want to use other types as well so Houndoom is good against water, electric and grass Gyms, and so on.

Q. How do I catch a legendary Pokemon?

Most legendaries cannot be caught, you will need to battle them, and oftentimes they run away after certain periods of time or if you defeat them. You will sometimes find some in the elite 4 such as Articuno and Moltres but these can also be found in the Seafoam Islands. Mewtwo can be found in Cerulean Cave after you have defeated it once before at the elite 4.
